This one was hard for me...as it's a color challenge over at Fab Friday and I don't own one of the colors. Well, I do...in my neutrals DSP...but, I honestly wasn't sure which one was Sahara Sand. lol. It's one of those colors that I always "needed" something else and that one got pushed further down on my wish list. Does that ever happen to you? ;-) Well, I gave it a try anyway. Here is what I came up with.
Here is a close up of the textures and layers.
Supplies Used:
Stamps:From My Heart
Ink: Basic Gray
Cardstock: Whisper White, So Saffron, Basic Gray
Others: Neutrals DSP, Silver Glimmer Paper, White Vellum, Big Shot, Woodgrain & Fancy Fan embossing folders, Paper Doily Sizzlits L, Labels Collecgtion Framelits, 1 1/4" Square Punch, Rhinestone Basic Jewels
What do you think?
Well, off to get ready for my Monday chore....grocery shopping. UGH!! I don't think that is ever fun when you have kids with you!! Especially when they are 3 years and 4 months old! At least the 5 year old is in kindergarten so he isn't coming too...right?!?! ;-) Hope you have a great day and I hope to be back SOON to share some more with you!

You did a great job with the colors! I like how you used the lacy looking DSP as it coordinates so well with the doily and the swirls on the stamp! Thanks for sharing with us at Fab Friday!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about Sahara Sand. It is a neglected color for me too, but when I use it, I like it. You used this color challenge beautifully! I love the banners made of glimmer paper and embossed vellum. The doily is a lovely touch as well. Thanks for playing at Fab Friday!
ReplyDeleteUm grocery shopping is no fun with NO kids, ha! ANd I love this! Love the layering and the glimmer paper! I hope that you NEED some sahara sand now, I really like it:-) But it IS hard to figure out which paper is which in that stack, isn't it? Thanks for playing at Fab Friday!
